'Your Hacken Concert Hall' Concert 8-14 Feb 2008

On Monday night, we’ve prepared a lot, a lot, and a lot of roses, nice outfits, musical instruments to be brought to CK’s studio in Chai Wan to shoot the poster for ‘Your Hacken Concert Hall’ Concert.

Behind me was part of the musicians for the concert. Only to get 6 of us together was already an impossible mission as they were always travelling to different places for concerts. From mid of last month till now, Monday was the only day that we are all available. At the end, it took five hours for the session to be completed. Of course, the attached is only for reference purposes, the original selected one will definitely be so much better.

My new album's launching tomorrow, will have a phone in interview with ‘sis sook mui’ around 11 a.m. My new song ‘Goodbye Concert Hall’ has been sent out to different stations. Will have to sing ‘live’ on the 24th. Very worry ya!

Ryan is already one month old. We had a simple get together with the family members to celebrate his ‘full moon’, of course got ‘hong gai dan’ lah! Wish for Ryan to be happy and healthy everyday!

Recording Completed! posted 14 Nov 2007

Though there are only three new songs in the new songs + goodies album, yet it has taken so so so so so many days to complete! After a hard battle yesterday, finally, it’s all done!

The last song is called ‘Goodbye Concert Hall’ by Edmond Tsang, lyrics by Riley Lam. It’s a pure piano+vocal’s production – A big challenge for both the pianist and the singer. I was hoping to sing it ‘live’ in my concert early next year. It’ll definitely be very nice!

About the launch date? Should be end of November! Commercial space has been booked, shouldn’t have much changes ‘kua’!

Have to do a photo shooting next week for my concert’s poster. On the 24th, have to go to ‘North Area’ for a show, then get back to TVB right away for another show, also the CASH awardnight, Mr. Tam is receiving ‘Life Achievement Award’, definitely have to go and support ‘lah’! Wah, very busy a!

There is also a fan club’s activity on December 2nd, it’s a big day for me to receive lots of gifts, haha! Hope to see a lot of you guys there!

Recording@Alex's Studio, posted 9 Nov 2007

Yesterday’s recording didn’t go very well, started from 1100 till 1800, still wasn’t able to complete it with good take(s)!

The song is fast, yet not too hard to sing, but because we have to record many, many tracks, some with ‘higher 8 bits’ and some with ‘lower 8 bits’, and some with ‘Diatonic interval’ and double tracks, recorded a lot of different tracks. Furthermore, the lyrics were being changed so many times, until I also feel a bit embarrassed, Riley Lam is sure to find Alex and me 'very troublesome', Sorry, sorry!

Can’t help it coz wanted an excellent result!

Today is better. Tried Edmond’s piano’s song in the afternoon and by evening, was able to retake yesterday’s cover version, Riley Lam came out with new lyrics again, once again, thanks a mil!

After reading your comments, I realized that I also have a lot of fans in Manchester. In fact, I was there last year for a photo shooting session, hehe! An unforgettable event! But besides being in Old Trafford, I didn’t have much time for even a quick look around, how’s Manchester like actually? Does everyone love watching soccer? Do you guys get to meet Rooney often, C7?

TV Addict

I've always been a TV addict since young. Frankly, during those days, who aren't?

From 'A House is not a Home', 'kwong chiu', 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly', 'Legend of the Book and the Sword', 'Heaven Sword & Dragon Sabre', 'Police Cadet', 'Justice Of Life' etc…I have watched them all, from the beginning until the end, while having my dinner.

Now, after growing up, not much free time to spare for TV viewing, but I still watch a lot of TV programs. For example 'Heart of Greed', I have watched over half of it. While watching it, I can’t help but to think, how would it feels if I were to take up one of the role? Kinda like to try out “Tack Tack Dei's” role!

I’m also a real big fan of American soap operas.

From 'Sex in the city', '24', 'CSI', 'Six Feet Under', 'Lost' until the recent 'Heros', I’ve watched them all. Even for those that are not as famous, such as 'O.C', 'Two and a half men', 'L word' were also among those programs that I’ve spent time watching. I've just finished 'Entourage' season 3 last night. Each episode was about 20 minutes. Not too long, watching one to two episodes before sleep is not a bad thing to do! It is not like '24' and 'Prison Break', once you watch, you can’t stop! until you finish everything.

After watching so many different soap operas all these years, the one I like best is still 'Friends'. It's simple, a cast of six and no more. 95% done in the studio, from his home to her home, but it is good enough to make you laugh until tears coming out, over and over again, within every 8 to 10 secs. And it ran for 10 years while each of the cast became rich and richer. If you have not watch it, congratulations, faster go and buy a set, you will sure to be laughing non-stop!

So, there are HK dramas, American soap operas and soccer games. Now you know why i don't go out!

My Paternity Leave @ Home, posted 2 Nov 2007

I have started taking my paternity leave after completed TVB’s “Yan Oi Tong” event on the 20th of last month. However, I don’t get to enjoy all 4 weeks before and 6 weeks after ‘labor’. I will be back to work again next week. (In fact, i’ll “most probably” be working tomorrow night! :) I think I can only watch half of the game of Manchester United vs. Arsenal)

There are still two more songs left to be recorded for my ‘New Songs + Goodies’ album. Still awaiting for the lyrics, should be able to record them end of next week! There are three new songs; one by Eric Kwok, one by Edmond Tsang and another one is the cover version. Hoping to release it end of November.

We brought Ryan for a check-up today and the doctor said Ryan is fine and has put on 10 oz, meaning we are doing a good job! Haha!

I'm back

My computer was having some problems last few days, therefore, I was unable to update the blog, and could not delete comment as well, giving me a whole lot of headache. After fixing the problems this morning, somehow again, got into other technical problems, either I don't delete anything, or i was forced to delete all, finally... this is the outcome of it.

Please do not feel sorry about it because I have already read every single comment, every blessing, every word, and will keep them well in my heart. Of course, if you don't mind the trouble and would like to leave your comment again, you are always welcome to do so.

Also, I've got another idea. When you are leaving your comment, can you also leave your location? For example: Siew Ming@Bak Kok, Irene@Toronto, etc, so that I'll be able to know where you are from, ok?

Taking care of a kid is really a busy task, busier than making drama, but sometimes I also don't know why I'm so busy. Overall, it's all the 'sap sap sui sui', 'hang lei hang hui' thing, haha!
